Important Instructions
- Always read and follow the label instructions.
- Whenever possible, use the dosing device that came with the product. Syringes and droppers are more accurate than teaspoons.
- If you use a teaspoon, it should be a measuring spoon. Regular spoons are not reliable.
For infants under 6 pounds, check with your doctor.

Acetaminophen
Tylenol
- Do not give before 2 months of age. Call us immediately if your baby under 2 months old has a fever of 100.4 or higher.
- Repeat dose every 4-6 hours while symptoms last.
- Do not give more than 5 doses in 24 hours.
- Do not use with any other product containing acetaminophen.

Ibuprofen
Motrin, Advil
- Not for children under 6 months of age.
- Repeat dose every 6-8 hours as needed.
- Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

Diphenhydramine
Benadryl
- When recommended by a provider, diphenhydramine may be used safely in young children.
- Non-sedating alternatives (eg, loratadine, cetirizine, fexofenadine) are available over-the-counter. Please ask a healthcare provider before using these medications in children under 2 years of age.
- Repeat dose every 6 hours as needed.
- Children’s Benadryl Fastmelts: Each fastmelt tablet contains the equivalent of 12.5 mg of diphenhydramine, dosed the same as chewable tablets.
- Risk of side effects: May cause drowsiness or paradoxical excitation. Use caution when driving or operating heavy machinery after dosing due to potential for sedation and decreased alertness. This is especially relevant for teen drivers.

24/7 Access with My Kid’s Chart
Life is busy. Juggling your day-to-day schedule and staying on top of your family’s health care can be a challenge, but our patient portal can help. Access your child’s medical records 24/7 from your home, office or smartphone.

We encourage all families to sign up for the portal to help us be sustainable and paperless. Call our office for portal access.
Convenient Access to Health Records
From the patient portal, you can review a complete health information summary for each child in your care, including:
- Most recent well child visit date
- Upcoming appointments
- A summary of labs and medical tests
- A problem list, allergy list and medications list
- A complete immunization record, available to download
- Growth charts, available to download

Secure Communication
Secure messaging is a feature of our patient portal. You can use it to contact us about non-urgent medical questions and medication refills. You may send us pictures of concerns as well.
- We will communicate with you via the portal for lab results and non-urgent communication in order to link all communication within your child’s chart.
- You may also receive text or email messages to complete pre-check in ahead of the scheduled appointment to streamline the check-in process.

TIPS FOR YOUR Telehealth VISIT
- You do not need to download any apps in advance. Please use Google Chrome or Firefox for your web browser.
- Your computer’s camera and audio must be enabled.
- Good lighting is helpful. Place the light in front of you and your child, rather than behind you.
- We may need to review any medications your child is using, and to verify your preferred pharmacy.
PRIVACY CONSIDERATIONS
Please understand that while this software is HIPAA-compliant, by choosing to do a virtual visit, you are agreeing to electronic communication of you or your child’s health information through audio, video, and/or photo technology. While our software is secure, consider any privacy needs in your space as well.

Patients are seen by appointment only, so please call ahead even if you feel your child needs to be seen right away. We have same-day appointments available every day.

Our Walk-In Clinic will be open from 11/4/2025 to 3/31/2026.
Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis and only for new, acute or urgent concerns such as fever, ear pain, sore throat, UTI, etc. Established patients only.
We cannot address any chronic issues/conditions at this walk-in clinic.

If your child’s illness or injury is life threatening, dial 911.
